Comeback Flurry part 2

In the second half we were getting killed and for she we would lose the game but all of the sudden I hit a down low basket and our team started scoring and getting rebounds. Now this team looked like they were starting to fall apart.

Now we really had to step it up because only two minutes were on the clock. It was 28-32. The ball was in the middle of our opponents side and we recovered it and scored. Now the other team inbounded it and they looked like they wanted to score.

They took the ball down and got fouled but they were in the bonus and he hit the first free throw sadly. Now we had to get a rebound and take it down the court to score.

Comeback Flurry

It was another Sunday afternoon and my Dad was driving me to Basketball again. I saw the place where I had been playing and I got out of the car. There on my Dad and I walked into the school and I got really nervous.

My team started warming up and it turns out we were playing a very good team. The game had started and we won the tip. But on the other side they scored and again they scored but finally one of our players hit a floater.

I could tell my team wouldn't do so well and neither would I. In the second half we did not start with the ball and it was starting to get more intense and close...

Smashng Stuff

At my school we have this thing called Choice Hour. During this we get to do waterever fun activity we signed up for. I am in this Choice Hour called Thinking Green. For a buisness group in my school I get to smash gift cards.

It was exactley 3:20 and I stayed in my classroom. I got out the hammers and gift cards. All of the kids in that class then came so I got out this thing full of holes and put then smashed these gift cards through a pole and then I of course started smashing stuff and it was a good time.

Up North

My mom took my brother and I Up North (Northern Michigan). We were coming mostly to go skiing but we were also doing other things like going to the movies. When we got there it was really cold and we got into our pretty big condo.

Tonight we were not going Skiing because there really wasn't enough time so we all decided we wanted to just stay home and maybe watch a movie. Once we moved all of our stuff in we went out to dinner at about 8:00.

While we walked down to the car I could hear a bunch of skinny creepy weird trees crackling like they were about to fall down. It was also really cold and these trees just wouldn't stop crackling. One of them almost looked like it was bending.

Happiness of the Spartans

It was a very sunny yet cold Sunday and all day I was doing sports. After two basketball games I had to go to Lacrosse and then finally I could go home. Lacrosse was exhausting and by the time I got in the car I had been exhausted yet curious.

Michigan State had been in thr NCAA Tournament (March Madness) and they were playing in the round of 32. Now lots of good teams were in and one of those teams had been Virginia and they were the second seed.

I asked my Dad if the Spartans had won. When I was at the basketball area everyone said they were up five at halftime so if they lost I would be really upset. Finally I asked my dad and he responded with an answer of "Yes". I was so happy and my Dad was to and Denzel Valentine did not blow the game, in fact he played well.

Disappointment of Spartans

It was a rather pleasant Sunday afternoon and I had just got done with my basketball game. Tonight was an important night because my favorite College Basketball team: Michigan State was playing. This wasn't just any regular season game, it was the Big Ten Championship and we were playing an amazing team which was Wisconsin.

Our team had just beat Maryland which was impressive of course but now we had to win the Championship. My dad, Brother, and I had sat in the car and we quickly turned on the game. Our team was winning by ten! And we were all really excited. We were really in the game and now we had to win.

At last we had we were home and all of us turned on the TV. Now the game was close. My family was sad but we might have a chance to win still. All of the sudden we were up two and one of our players recovered the ball (Rebounded the ball). Withe fifteen seconds left all the player had to do was hold onto the ball but he decided to throw it down the court. Then it got stolen and the other team scored. We then got the ball and quickly through the ball down the court and one of our best players was wide open. He shot and the ball hit the rim then rolled to the left side, then hit the backboard and rolled of the right side and it just barely fell out. Now we went into overtime and Michigan State realized you know what, were Michigan State, and they lost the game by ten.

New York Part 30

Now it was time to go home. We got in the hotel and I was going to miss this hotel. It was very cool and different. We got out stuff and walked out of it. Now we were in the Subway waiting for our train to come.

At last it had came and we got off of it to get onto another one. Then we were in the area waiting for another train to take us back to D.C. then tommorow a plane ride home. I was sad to leave but I knew I was going to come back another day.

The train arrived as I got aboard and for one last time through the windows I could see all of the lights and buildings. Then it was gone and my trip to New York had now ended as I put on my headphones and listened to music.

New York Part 29

We then walked into the restaurant. There was a wait to sit down at a regular table but my mom and I didn't want to we just decided to sit at the bar. The bar was kind of small but cool. upside down glasses lied upon us.

The waiter came and took my order. I got a margarita pizza and my mom bought Spaghetti and Meatballs for us to share. The food was delicious and once we had finished my mom payed the check. We then both walked out. We had to make it to the subway to get back on the train and get home now. By now I was kind of sad because I was going to miss New York so much.

At this time we walked down the street and stopped at another place. There I got an Espresso Gelato. After that we were in China Town. I could see a ton of different foods than i'm used and the entire place was very crowded but not as bad as 50th street.

New York Part 28

We walked for a very long time just looking for a Taxi. This city is so busy it's insane. Sometimes it is not a fun thing to deal with but other times you kind of think it's cool and neat. Now we were almost to a taxi.

My mom and I had finally sat in a Taxi (:. It felt so good to just sit down. We past all of the buildings until finally we saw the restaurant. Well we kind of didn't find the one we were looking for but we found a Italian food resturant and ate there.

New York Part 27

The room was big aand interesting and packed with people. They all looked like they belonged in the family of someone who died during this tragic event. The room had no doors and was made out of a marble kind of wall.

We both walked out and there we were on a elevated area that wasnt too elevated but was found higher off of the ground. There we could see monuments like bricks, poles, and structure starters that belonged to the building.

my mom and I had pretty much scouted the whole mesuem so we left out into the streets again. We didn't really have any special and cool sites to see so we decided to walk to Little Italy located next to China Town so we could grab some lunch.

New York Part 26

I walked towards the room and there I saw peoples faces with their names on the bottom of them. The entire room was covered with them. I wondered why they were there. everybody in that room looked kind of sad and quiet.

I then realized it was all the people who have died during the bombing and crash of The World Trade Center. The room was very cool and interesting also it included facts about all of the people who died and what they liked and what they were good at.

The entire Muesem was kind of quiet and sad but now doubt about it it was and interesting topic to learn about. This was definitely one of the key things I have learned on this fun awesome trip that I hope to learn more about.

New York Part 25

I then pasted the Firetruck and walked onto something different. There I saw a huge glass see through panel again but this one waas arranged like a wall that went up extremely high, but not all the way up to the ceiling. It read in black coloring.

What has 1000 door nobs, over 2000 offices, and about 550 meters tall…… The World Trade Center and a couple of other words appeared on the panel that I didn't read.

I walked to another monument turning my back to that while thinking, wow is that really true. All of this information really facinated me, and I wanted to learn more even after leaving New York. I then saw a room with a bunch of peoples faces on it.

New York Part 24

I have been loving New York so far and I would like to see much more of it in my older days, like other burroughs like Queens and Brooklyn. I think it's one of the cooler trips ive been on in my life even betting Florida.

New York Part 23

There I saw lots of stuff. As I walked down the stairs I saw a metal statue resting on a marble slab and that metal was another part of a building. I thought this stuff was so cool because it really showed you what realistic parts had been taken down in the destruction.

We then walked forward and saw more cooler stuff. One of the things I saw, that I personally thought was really cool was a firetruck that came fresh out of the fires and such. I just took some time to look at it and notice the detail.

It was all smashed up and you could barely see where the fire hose was because it was al stretched. It looked like the Firetruck had been going full speed and so had a bus and they both rammed into each other even though the bus would have been harder and bigger.

New York Part 22

The people by the doors opened the doors and let the dog and the guy carrying the box holder into the muesem. They then closed them again and after another five minutes they let us in. I saw a security area and though oh man.

I hated security systems but I respected them. I put all the stuff I was required to put in and they let me through. I then got my stuff and walked through a door and there was all the statues, monuments, pieces, and honored people in pictures.

The building showed two huge tower parts that were brown with a orange color to it that was chipped. The parts were messy and looked like they had been through a smashing process (even though they pretty much already have).

New York Part 21

To that day I never really figured out what that huge hole actually ment, but it was cool. Everybody around me gathered around it and on the stone there were names of the people who died in The World Trade Center.

By that time there was nothing left to see outside of the muesem so we walked over to these lines and of course waited in a very long line that took forever to get out of. All of the sudden we were moving up and we found ourselves at the very top.

Just outside the doors I saw this guy carrying something that would hold boxes. Behind him was a dog and that dog started sniffing the bottom of the box holder then it started to jump on top of the box holder and he sniffed that to. It was so cool and no doubt that was definitely a smart dog.

New York Part 20

We had then ended up in the other dock and we were about to get off of the Ferry and never come on ever again ):. Once I got off I walked back past the circle of booths that took you onto the Ferry and then past the really long line.

Both my mom and I walked through the streets as I followed my mother/mom two the 9/11 Historical Meusem. We didn't get in a taxi at all, we just walked there and all of the sudden appeared a huge gigantic building known as the freedom tower.

It was huge and we each approached it. Once we got there we walked up these little outdoor steps and saw this huge hole in the middle of the ground filled with water at the bottom (as water streamed down the walls). I was very curios to find out the story behind that hole.

New York Part 19

When watching the movie I didn't learn much more but I did see everything in video form which was better. Once we felt like we wanted to leave we walked out the door, got on the long wooden dock, and stepped onto the Ferry so we could leave the area.

Once again I went on the very top of the Ferry and from there I got a really sick/sweet view of the city from the boat. I could see all kinds of buildings and I didn't know even existed and I then of course took a picture.

After getting off the Ferry we were going to see the 911 museum.

New York Part 18

I then walked into the other part of the room and there saw many things. There were of course many glass panels that stretched around the whole entire room and above them there were pictures. A huge wall appeared talking all about Italian immigrants.

Along the other side of this room there was a little booth where someone would talk about what happened. That day I learned all kinds of things about immigration and it was a very interesting topic for me to learn about.

After that my mom and I had seen all in that room and we were ready to move onto the next room. All of the sudden I realized there wasn't another room so we wanted to leave as we were just about to leave my mom mentioned the movie theater so we went inside the movie theater then and watched even more. Today I didn't try my best to memorize all of the information there but I still remember lots but not all because after all we were on vacation.

New York Partv 17

The building was so cool and was filled with little see through boards that you could read stuff on. Ellos Island was definitly cool on the inside and outside and there was another room on the other side of the muesem.

Ellos Island had one purpose/why it was there. They built this muesem to tell people about the immigrants who came from a huge boat and all got very sick but then they saw the Statue of Liberty of New York and foun out they were in America and they sll got really excited because everyone wanted to come to America back then.

I saw all kinds of things there. The main entrance had a little lobby desk and a huge glass see through panel that reached around one area as if it were a long rectangle and then on the left a little movie theater appeared with a bathroom next to it. The floor was Black and White as if it were a huge checkerboard.

New York Part 16

The boat/Ferry moved around the circle of water as all of the sudden it stopped by a huge dock that extended out from the beach. Both of us (My mom and I) walked down to the bottom level. Doing this was challenging. Multiple people blocked the stair we'll but some how I slipped through the large  rushing crowd.

Now I was down on the boat and I of course stepped off and walked onto the huge extending wooden dock. My mom and I strolled through that dock and walked onto Ellos Island. It was a huge museum and was very tall.

I then walked up all five stairs and got to the very top. We then opened up the gigantic doors and walked in. The floors were almost like a checker board. The Pillars were a very bright white and I could see all kinds of monuments and story and I couldn't wait to look around the museum.
