Florida Part 2:Island Marrada

Today we were doing a bunch of awesome things down by the beach. Once my brother and I were done with basketball the whole rest of my family appeared and we started to get ready to snorkel with all our equipment.

Now the lady encharged got ready to take us out to the boat. I was very nervous to do this but once I actaully thought about it I cooled down a bit. Now we were on the boat that was extremely nice and even though I was nervous I was very excited.

Florida Part 2: Island Marrada

I had got above my covers and I tried to fall asleep. It was almost impossible to fall asleep with the extreme heat of the floridian weather. I kept rolling around and finding cold spots in my bed to put my legs by and my face. Finally I decided to just stay still.

I woke up the next morning and I was sort of tired. Today was our first full day at this place. Once I got up I went downstairs and ate my breakfest. Once my dad showed up I went with my brother to go place basketball over by the beach.

It was extremely hot today and was like 85 degrees farenhit at the moment and along with that it was very sunny which I whish it wasn't. I kind of wish it was sort of cloudy. The humidity was also 100% and the weather was crazy.

Florida Part 2:Island Marrada

My brothers and I hopped into the pool and played games while the sky was pitch black and you could just barely see the sun on one side. It was so awesome i pool with very little light while the water in the pool was very light and noticeable.

Once we were done swimming we went back to our condo and kind of just relaxed and watched a movie. I thought staying here every year we go would be awesome but we usually go somewhere else so it's kind of cool to come here.

Florida Part 2:Island Marrada

Once we were done with the pie we left the restaurant of course and now my brothers went out for ice cream because they didn't want any pie. The ice cream at this place looked amazing especially the flavor my brothers got.

It had little chunks of birthday cake in it and the rest tasted like birthday cake. It looked amazing and I just had to sneak a bit. Once we got home my brothers and I created a plan to go swimming in the little pool that was elevated just above the ocean.

It looked so cool with the torches there to show light and the sunset and view of the ocean looked really cool to. Around us was a bunch of roses and a little field that you could play on. There was also a hammock you could lie on right by the ocean in fact there were two connected to the wonderful Palm trees

Florida Part 2:Island Marrada

The Lobster was good but very hard to eat because it was so hard. The sushi/California roll I ordered was amazing. The food here was pretty good. Once I finished my dad signed the check of couse and we left.

We then went out for desert and tonight we went a one of the best key lime places in florida. Once we left we got back into the car and drove to this place. Once I got the key lime pie I was so excited to eat it.

It was the best pie ever.  It had a sour hardened lime sorbet that tested amazing and laying under it was a carmelized graham cracker and on top of everything else was heated marang pouder with some whipe cream on the side and it was for sure the best pie I ever had.

Florida Part 2: Island Marrada

After we looked around for a little while my brother and I went to go play basketball on this little court with the floor made of sand. We all went back to the condo to get ready for the dinner we were going to. The food was japanese.

It was a very nice place with an outdoor patio we went to sit down at. I ordered some sushi and it was amazing then after that food. We waited for a while until the waiter came back with our drinks and sushi.

Now she went back and we waited again unfortunately. It was kind of hard for me to find something good on the menu but in the end I decided to try lobster.

Florida Part 2: Island Marrada

For the night I just kind of relaxed until my family decided to go and check out the beach and resort area we were by across the street. It was kind of a far drive even though it was the exact same place we were just staying in.

When we entered it was basically just your typical parking lot and then you would go through these little hotels/motels and it would take you to a patio where people could eat lunch. Then basically a bunch of pools with their own area appeared until you walked onto the beach.

The beach had hard sand and many palm trees were there and they were pretty scattered. There was a hammock lying between two trees. Then there was a little shack.

Florida Part 2: Island Marrada

When we pulled up in the parking lot of the few condos in the resort. Ours was all white and had two floors. When you walked into the entrance you would find yourself in a porch and there were two chairs that you could sit in. on the second floor from the outside there was pretty much the same thing but it was a balcony of course.

We walked in and the house was kind of big and right when you walked it a TV, couch, and two chairs would appear. Then further into the house was a microwave and a fridge with a sink for the kitchen. Beside the kitchen was a fairly big table right against the wall.

Then by the table was the bathroom that was in the wall. Then you turned around and went back to the entrance, walked up the stairs and there I could see another floor with many bedrooms and a very nice modern bathroom mostly made of granite.

Florida Part 2:Island Marrada

We had just got on the highway and it was very busy. I looked back behind the car glass window and saw the buildings and all of the cars. That was officially the last glimpse I would catch of the big city here in Florida.

I was going to miss the city but now I had been going to a more tropical place. It was kind of cool looking out the window and seeing different things then I'm used to like trees in Michigan that don't have leaves.

It was a very long drive and I really didn't want to do anything when it was over. At this moment we were in the island but we weren't in our resort/condo yet. I looked around and saw all of the resturants and the palm trees then I saw the road that led to our condo.

Florida Part 1: South Beach

The girl walked back into the inside of the restaurant and got the check. She then of course came to our table like five minutes later. Now she had handed my dad the check and he looked at it. The cost was $120 just for a lunch.

My dad was upset for spending this much money on just a a lunch that he did not like. Now we left the restaurant and it was time to walk around for a little more time so we could get to the car and drive away from South Beach/Miami.

It took us a little while to get to the car and when we did we were ready to leave this town because now we were going to a different part of Florida and it was even more southern than South Beach and it was IslandMarrada

Florida Part 1: South Beach

The drinks were not price labeled so it was obvious they would be expensive and I was sitting there wondering how I was going to put a dent into my drink althought it did taste amazing and the straws also extended out far and supported the tall bowls size.

Now the waiter came to take our orders. I ordered a bacon and cheese Hamburger and my brothers orded a pizza. It took the waiter a pretty shor period of time to come with our food and when she did it looked good.

A tasted my food and loved it I think everyone else liked their food okay though. Once I finished my food I kept mooching off my tables fries because they were so good at this restaurant. Now the waiter asked my dad if he wanted the check.

Florida Part 1:South Beach

We had got into the sidewalk and we were now walking around. This area was a little more scattered, kind of like a mini city and I thought it looked really cool. We walked around like a block or so and got to the point of the city where we were on the beach well kind of. We were basically on the part of the city where a road and a sidewalk separates the town from the beach leading to the main beach.

We looked around forever place to sit down and eat lunch. Finally we set down on a table beside the road and the area was kind of crowded and we didn't have much space. It also had couches to sit on instead of chairs and by now the waitress came to take our order and deliver our food.

I ordered a pina colada and my brothers ordered a smoothie. I could tell this place was going to be a very expensive restaurant. All of the sudden I spotted our waitress and had been carrying these three huge glass stands that were huge and almost looked a cooking bowl on a glass stand with liquid in them I wondered what could be in those bowls and all of the sudden the waitress was coming to us and all of the sudden I noticed that she was carrying our drinks and it was probably the biggest drinking glass I had ever seen in my entire life.

Florida Part 1:South Beach

The heart of the city was very crowded and the buildings went to the sky and everything looked so cool and interesting. Now we had passed Miami and a lot of cars had appeared again, now we were entering South Beach.

We drove down another highway-ish area and then we had been in South Beach. The buildings were not huge of course but it was a pretty big town and lots of shops and restaurants were there. Many people walked along the sidewalk.

Now we were in South Beach and we were looking for a parking spot and it took us forever to park so we had to drive like six levels on the indoor parking area so we could to the top floor. Now we were headed to the elevator to check it out.

Florida Part 1:South Beach

My whole family and I had just landed in Miami, Florida and right now we were just getting on a bug to take us to a hotel. Our plan was to sleep the night get up the next morning and walk around Miami and South Beach then drive to Island Morada.

Once we were in our hotel room we pretty much all just went to bed because it was like 1:00 am. The next morning we woke up and now we just kind of hung out for a while and went down to Starbucks.

Our parents came back to the hotel and they had just got the rental car so we all packed up our things and got in the car to drive around. I couldn't see much of Miami but all I could see was huge buildings that were very high and South Beach was pretty much hidden.

Florida Part 1: South Beach

We had been on the driveway know and I could now see the city pretty well. It was pretty nice and lots of cars drove along the highway. We were almost down to the bottom of the highway where we could see all of the nice homes that were huge.

I looked around and saw all kinds of huge buildings to the right of my should but when I looked to the left I could see palm trees and a part that starts the ocean. Along that streams were the houses that were huge and some of them were even hidden behind trees.

Some houses had yachts that were huge, parked into their docks and they were really nice. Now we could see more of the ocean and we had been entering the very heart of Miami and things started to look a little like New York but tropical and with palm trees.
