New York part 4

We then left our stuff in the hotel and that ment it was time to go to Central Park. We walked so much throughout the entire trip although walk around this awesome city was kind of fun unless you got tired of walking forever.

By the time we got there I could see gates and huge rocks to climb up, I also saw the zoo with seals doing cool tricks in this big huge fountain. We then went down a small tunnel that took us to another part of Central Park. I could see people everywhere in New York playing guitars, singing, and other things like that everywhere.

All around Central Park I could see cool house designs on gates and big shacks but then we found huge rocks we could climb up so we did just that and it was interesting and fun to do that and then parkour and slide your way down.

New York part 3

I saw so much there and finally we got in the hotel. It was so cool and modern. The lobby had a sweet bar and there was one big couch that highlited a table then on the other side was a mini restaurant and a place where you could eat.

My mom and I rode the elevator up to the 18th floor and we then found our room. It was so cool because you could get a neat view through the window looking pretty far down seeing the cars and theaters because we were in the theater district which was located in Times Square and that was where we were staying.

The hotel room was awesome. You could push a button and the curtains to the window would go up or down and there was a picture frame that was digital and you could control the TV, change the art frame, and turn off the lights with one Samsung IPad. Then in the corner of the room was the bathroom. The shower had see buttons you could push on a glass panel to make the shower hotter or colder and this was hidden behind a read and white glass wall.

New York part 2

We then strolled up the stairs and there was a huge city. A city I had never seen before. A city that was inspiring and Humongous. Then my mom and I walked along the streets and I saw all of the huge buildings.

Along the sidewalks were people at every corner selling something like pictures, snacks, albums, and CDs. Right now we were walking to our hotel as we passed by Madison Square Garden while just leaving the train station.

on the way there I saw everything. Busy roads, tons of people, lots of buildings, and super fast taxis driving by, trying to avoid traffic/other cars in the busy streets of New York. I wanted to stop walking so bad and get in a taxi but we decided not to.

New York part 1

My mom and I had just got off the train to go from DC to New York Manhattan the train ride was very interesting, different and most of all, fun. It was relaxing and very roomey also you could see a bunch of beatiful views through the window.

I was underground and once we wlaked off the train I could see the other side of the tunnel. We strolled down the tunnel and there we saw light and stairs so we went up those stairs and a whole area was there.

Still we were underground and I saw shops and all kinds of things. Now I saw the stairs that would lead us up to New York. There were three homeless people sitting in a corner and everything smelled really bad but the area still looked pretty clean but there we were about to walk up the stairs.

Alaska football episode 29

We all went to bed at 4 AM and I bet all of us slept horrible. When I got up that morning I walked down stairs and their sat on the couch. I played Fifa on the XBOX and than three minutes later all of my friends woke up.

Once they came down to the coach they saw me sitting there and Nick joined in on the game. That morning I lost that game but still it was pretty close and my friends were all puzzled because im usually the one that wins.

Now all of my friends left and as they walked out the door I said bye of course and from there on they all got in their cars and drove away from my house.

I sat down at a table with all of my friends and during this time we looked at our schedule. It looked pretty easy but to us these games would seem nearly inpossible to win. Even the worst team in the league could beat us because we were the worst team in the league.

Alaska football episode 27

We all went outside to play soccer in the snow and it was extremely funny because the ball got kicked  and when it did it would just stop. My team won 6-4 and we all kind of joked around and celebrated as I was the goalie.

Again we went inside and played NBA 2K 15 which was like another one of our favorite video games. Now while playing we all talked about how mean and how much we hated Coach Holcomb because after all he is a jerk to us.

Right now it was Grant Flank and me in the championship. Grant Flank was a Tight End and he was huge. Now I lost 107-106 only because I was down two and I went to the foul line and I made one out of two free throws so I then lost.

Alaska football episode 26

My friends and I all were planning a sleep over/get together and that night I remember playing football. It really sucked because I had to be all-time quarterback because of my broken arm, but now when we play football we have two blockers and two offensive lineman so I could have gotten sacked.

When we all went inside we layed down on the couch and played some Fifa and I won the tournament because we always have a Fifa tournament. I walked down the hall to get some soda and on my way there I saw the huge Alaskain football sticker.

After that I walked back to the couch and there saw my friends playing. They all had been watching TV and they were kind of just sitting there texting on their phones and doing nothing. By this time we all went in the basement.

Alaska football 25th anniversary special

Another cold bitter freezing day occurred in Alaska and our team had all been in my house playing video games and there we all looked out the window and saw the blistering cold snowflakes barge against the clear glass window.

My team had been sitting there talking, having fun and we all knew that our coach had a surprise for us about something associated with our team. Now he said he would call Nick's phone to tell him the news and that he did.

Five minutes later we heard a ring and it was Coach Holcomb. Nick put the phone on speaker so that we could all hear it and their he told us that we were playing a new division. Division three which ment we were a bad bad bad bad team and now we played the worst football teams in the entire country/nation which was truly embarrasing.

Alaska football episode 24

The nurse told me I could get up and walk around a bit, it was that moment that I opened the door and my coach saw me there. He looked upset be at the same time kind of content. I might be dreaming but he looked sort of proud of me.

Coach started with, " are you okay"?

"Yeah I'm fine", I answered

"Well our team lost by big margin"

"Hmhm I heard about it"

"Oh well", Coach Holcomb said before being interrupted by the nurse

"Umm Jimmy the doctor needs you".

I suddenly walked over there to go with the nurse and she lead me back to the room with the bed where I had been lying down. He looked up at me and asked if my head was pounding/throbbing I said no back and he thought it was know a lot better.

Alaska football episode 23

The doctor left the room and minutes later he showed came back and told me I was unconscious for a while which seemed like an insane fact to hear even though that Michigan State team had been a bunch of animals who were huge.

I felt sort of woozy and out of it. The doctor told me my head looked really screwed up and it was a bad concussion that could be dangerous if not treated immediately so I was pretty lucky to be okay after the injury.

In my eyesight I saw him fill out some stuff and he was alarmed by a nurse that a mother's baby had been a occupation. Now I asked the man what had happened because I was incredibly interested with what those people did to me.

Alaska football episode 22

The game was over and we had lost 110-7 and that was ruled as the biggest beat down in college football history. Which was obviously a shame. And now I think about how I could help out my team even more than I did during that football game.

Now just sitting in this bed looking up at a red cross reminds me of all the pain I faced. I looked back at the curtains and in came the doctor and he said, "you've got a very horrible concussion", you might have even had blacked out but you'll be alright".

He did what he had to do and man it hurt so very bad. This had been the first time I had ever been hurt with a concussion but at least I started. Now one thing I thought about while I was lying in the bed is what happened with the 3rd string linebacker: Jonathan.

BCS bowl predictions (alaska football)

My team of course loved to look at the BCS bowl predictions because it was a fun night and coach saidn we could even get tickets to all watch it together. Now the Ohio State Buckeyes were playing the Oregon Ducks and we all predicted the Buckeys...

Alaska football episode 21

I saw all of the audience as we sprinted out the locker room. But one thing I noticed was that I could barely even walk. And from there on I saw the Michigan State team come out through their tunnel and they looked way more eerie than us.

All of the audience stared at our light blue and white jerseys and I can assure you one things for sure not one person in that entire stadium was a fan of our team which was definitely a disappointment, well all but Mr. Zilinski.

Mr. Zilinski was the most die hard fan of them all. He watched so many of our practices. And he is the only fan we have for now unless one day we come up big and beat a team.

Grammar

\Frying his body all day/, Jacob Johnson/ got a horrible sunburn by afternoon/ because the cheap suntan lotion from his brother/ became a thin liquid/ and dripped into the sand.

All kinds of vegetables/, from celery to fresh tomatoes, were laughing or dancing or playing in the salad bowl/, and the salad dressing that had been as quiet and unnoticed as the bowl itself/, suddenly giggled with glee.

We all stayed in the position we were in and crossed our arms together. This meant we were going to pray. Coach started us off and then we all started to sing the our farther pray. After that we all got up and sat on the benches. The coaches were going to help explain what we did wrong and different things we should do.

Our offensive coordinator wrote on the board all of the things we had to do as all of us sat there and listened. I was so bored and I could tell nobody really cared about what he was talking about. My team and I had just been focused on getting out of here to get back on the plane so we could go home.

I stood up from the bench just like everyone else did and from there on we got ready to open the door. Our coach stood by it and bolted through it and out we all went.

"This game has been quiet something, it's started off we our offense getting a play every drive to our defense not even stopping them once. Later on in the game things got better but still I wanted to sit on my sofa and cry for hours, you all disappoint me so much. But I'm gonna tell all of you something important. Football is not just a game, it's life. Football can relate to real life in so many ways. Now everyone here needs to work harder, push themselves, want it more but ill tell you what if your trying your best I wont be disappointed. That's the most anyone can ask from you. Now Geralds going to be fine. When we go back out there I want for none of you to look at that scoreboard once. You all will be remember weither your a class of disapointment or weither your the number one team that could beat any NFL team you wanted to, no matter what happens you will be remembered, so make it good"!

The book Wonder teaches you many things and it shows you how you should be nice to people who aren’t as fortunate as you and other stuff like that but in my opinion this book is all about persevering(A person trying to do something over and over again) because in the end you must always persevere. Auggie lives with his mom, dad, dog daisy, and his sister Via.(A family) Wonder is about a boy who struggles through multiple challenges but at the same time he has a facial difference(A boy with a facial difference) so it’s really hard for him to tackle these challenges. This book doesn’t just tell me about how a boy named Auggie who has to deal with many challenges, it tells me to work hard, respect others, and of course never give up(A motivational speaker telling people how to live life).



At one part in the story Auggie has a dog that he likes a lot and her name is Daisy. Every night he plays with her and the dog doesn’t judge Auggie by his face just like how everyone else does which is the reason why Auggie likes his dog so much. One day Auggie is at home (A dog) and he finds out something about his dog Daisy. Via and his mom tell him that Daisy had been on the floor just laying there for a long time. And then all of the sudden Auggie saw Daisy lying down as if she were sick (a sick person holding a thermometer). Auggie’s mom says she was bit in the thumb by Daisy so then Auggie’s mom and dad took her to the vet as if she were dead (A grave) and Auggie and Via both looked through the window while crying because they were afraid that Daisy would be gone. Later when Auggie comes back from camp (a tent and flashlight) he sees via and his dad come home with a box/cage and they opened it up and there was a cute dog that Auggie loved whose name was Bear. Once again Auggie has a bad day but the next day was so much better and finally (Finland) another good thing happened to him to gain more determination to want to keep going on with school.

Another challenge Auggie faces is friends like Jack Will and Summer but some problems do occur with his friends that are loyal (a tigger) to him but over time Auggie starts to wonder if they really are loyal, friendly, and kind to him even when he's not around them. Over the story he had trouble with friends. During Halloween (his favorite holiday) one of his friends named Jack Will was talking to someone behind his back. But what he said offended Auggie although later on in the story Jack wants to be friends with Auggie and he regrets (a coffee mug) what he said. Another thing about this is that a enemy (a mosquito) that he faced named Julian always bullied  him and a group of people also did as well but then Julian left the school, and he made friends with all the people who used to hate him so he was the one who beat Julian and ended the school year on a happy note. To me I think that in the story this is indeed one of the hardest challenges he faces and for Jack he definitely redeemed himself because he hurt Auggie's feelings but still apologized. “Julian’s a jerk okay but I was a jerk (Beef Jerky) too. Really sorry for what I said okay? Can we be friends again", then Auggie responded with, "okay".

There is a part in the story where Auggie goes to a school camp (A bus driving away with people looking out the window) and there everything is well and he is having fun with his friends. One night they all went to the fairgrounds (A golf course with people laying down on it in sleeping bags) as a school. But not only was it just their school. There were other schools there so they stumbled upon mean 7th graders from a different school that they didn't really know even at all. Auggie and Jack Will had to go to the bathroom (A sick)  but the line was to long so they went kind of far into the woods to go to the bathroom but there they met the vicious 7th graders. “What is that", said a kid (talking to Auggie)
"Wait, wait, wait”, said the guy holding the flashlight (A strong yellow light) while cutting us off (A cutting board). He pointed the flashlight right at my face and now he was only about five feet away"
They all make fun of him and call him mean names but then later a kid in Auggie's grade that is considered a jock tackles (A football player) the guy (Eddie) who was being mean to Auggie. Later on Auggie runs away from the 7th graders because they were chasing them. Miles and Henry (A Lambo) who are two boys who have never liked Auggie both help him because they are in the woods during the night and it's dark so they can't see. Auggie says that he can't here very well and everything felt like he was underwater (A person scuba diving). After that Amos who is the jock, Miles, Henry, and Jack Will all find an area that's open and more like a field (Tons of Corn). When Auggie notices that his hearing aid is missing and he gets really bummed out about that but later when he gets back from camp he doesn’t just sit in his bed (Bunk beds) like must kids would when they have a difference and something like a hearing (Ears) aid has just been broke or lost (A broken vase), he keeps going.

At one part in the story (A little room with a lamp and bed that you’re looking at from the ground) Auggie has a dog that he loves very much (Big hearts) and her name is Daisy. Every night he plays with her and the dog doesn’t judge Auggie by his face just like how everyone else does which is the reason (Steve Jobs) why Auggie likes his dog so much (Thanksgiving food on a little table). One day (Farms) Auggie is at home (A barn) and he finds out something about his dog Daisy. Via (A Violin) and his mom tell him that Daisy had been on the floor (A dog rolling on the floor) just there for a long time. And then all of the sudden Auggie saw Daisy lying (was bit in the thumb (A thumb) (A lazy person laying down on a couch) down as if she were sick. Auggie’s mom says she) by Daisy so then Auggie’s mom and dad took her to the vet as if she were dead and Auggie and Via both looked through the window while crying because they were afraid that Daisy would be gone. Later when Auggie comes back from camp he sees Via and his dad come home with a box/cage and they opened it up and there was a cute dog that Auggie loved whose name was Bear (A really cute dog). Once again Auggie has a bad day (Storm clouds) but the next day was so much better and finally (A finish line) another good thing happened to him to gain more determination (A power bar) to want to keep going on with school and not turn into a bum who hides in his room all his life.



 
By the end of the ended. He had friends and they all loved him.. "No one seemed to care if it was my face next to theirs". I think that shows Auggie's wonderful (Cupcake Batter) perseverance. This also shows that Auggie is a person who is nice and won’t be mean but everyone is mean to him because of what he looks like even though if Auggie had a normal face then he would not struggle with anything in his entire life that is linked with school, friends, and being nice. This book shows lots of things that are good for a human (Alien) mind to digestbut I think one of the greatest is that this book is inspiring for anyone that is a underdog (A hot dog stand) or different so it shows that literally anyone can be the change in this world or anyone can succeed in certain challenges and I think that's exactly what you would say to describe Auggie. At the end of the book Auggie finishes the school year on the honor role (A scroll) but even bigger than that, Auggie wins the biggestaward of all which is the Henry Ward Beecher Medal. I think this award means something: it means that Auggie is special (A rice Crispy Treat) and he has been born to do great things, which is what all of us should keep in mind.

Auggie gets judged by his facial (A dentist) difference every single day of his life, and his dog that he loves so much “Daisy” dies but in the end everything ends up okay so that teaches you there’s always a solution to every problem in the world. Always persevere because it will make a difference in your life. You will be shocked when you find out the things you are capable (People with Cable and wires) of if you choose to persevere.

We all saw the hallway that lead to the locker room and a bunch of audience saw us and they tried to rub their spartan flags and gear in our faces because they wanted Michigan State to win. Coach Holcomb stopped and said, "follow me", as he started to lead the way we found our wayh inside.

When we got there a bunch of reporters and staff stood there staring at us. Now I was just out of it. I felt like just giving up. By now I wanted to be home playing Fifa. Everything felt horrible, I had been brutally beaten up by a bunch of football jocks that were 1,000 times bigger then us.

By this time we were all in the locker room and everyone put there stuff in the lockers as we all got ready to get screamed at.

Alaska football episode 17

Our Running back had got a pick of about two yards. But the things was he had such a clear path to run to but instead he ran straight into one of our offensive line mans legs, which caused him to trip. There was one last play before halftime so coach decided to throw a deep bomb.

Our quarterback dropped back to throw and he seemed like he didn't have much time before the defensive line broke through. That made him decide to roll out of the pocket. He was getting chased by a defender but before getting sacked he threw a deep ball going to the en zone. Everybody stared at the ball flying in mid air and that was when the ball was thrown right on the money but our receiver Tony Jaxsin dropped it and there flew our only hope.

We all jogged into the locker room as a team with Coach Holcomb leading us all of the sudden he stopped. This was because a reporter wanted to review him. I couldn't really hear what they were saying to each other but I could tell coach just wanted to get away from her so he could scream at us in the locker room.
