New York Part 15

My mom and I had been on the very top of the boat so we could see the Statue of Liberty. We decided we didn't want to get off the Ferry because then we would have to wait for another Ferry/wait in another line. Still we got some pretty good pictures because the Ferry didn't move for a while.

I stopped there with my eyes wide open doing nothing but starring at it. It looked so awesome with it's mint green color and the huge torch and of course the person in general who you just couldn't ignore even if you were 500 miles away.

All of the sudden the boat started to move and all of the sudden my vision for the Statue of Liberty grew smaller.

New York Part 14

We then got in the security room and then once we finished we started sprinting to the next ferry so we could of course get on it. We waited in another line until getting into that ferry. I hopped on and went to the top and there I could see the bay.

It was pretty cool and sweet to be on top of the Ferry. and by now I could see the Statue of Liberty even better and it did look sweet. I went back to the indoor level and my mom bought me and jumbo sized pretzel and of course it tasted amazing.

Now we were almost to The Statue of Liberty and as we got closer my excitement started to grow more and more as the minutes passed by. Right after the Statue of Liberty we were headed to the one and only Ellos Island

New York Part 13

I woke up in the morning after a good nights rest and my mom took me too the Subway. The Subway was loaded with people until they of course got of at stops. I saw through the window a bunch of tunnels and dimmish lights.

We then got of the Subway and waited in this line that went on forever and ever and ever all just to get on one fairy but at that moment I saw one of the coolest monuments I've ever seen in my life: The Statue of Liberty.

I saw a guy playing a guitar trying to make the big bucks. Everybody kept throwing in dollars and he looked pretty content with his cash. The line started to move up a little and then we were almost in the liitle hut with the security check.

New York part 12

They all talked about their back story and such. Once all of that was over they were having trouble booking gigs and places to sing but finally they started singing and later on in their story they sang their number one hit song Sherry.

By that time we had left the theater and I really did like the play. After that my mom and I had walked over to the hotel and got in the lobby. We of course rode the elevator up to our room and they we were just about to sleep.

Both of us got comfy and lay in our beds. I watched some TV before and I went to bed and then I slowly drifted to sleep

New York Part 11

All of the guys came out and after that they left again and some weird hip hop band came out and started to dance and sort of sing and rap. It was kind of interesting but weird because I didn't think expect this to happen but it did for whatever reason.

After that a background of a railroad track came out and it showed four people talking. This part basically explained the story and main theme of it. After that the atmosphere kind of changed and all of the sudden they were in a music club singing.

There was one teenager sitting on the steps watching and clapping when the band got introduced and the teenager is the lead singer of the band. His name was Frankie Valli. The band announced him to come up and perform at that moment and the play had started.

New York Part 10

Once I got in the theater everything looked sort of fancy with posters of the band and stuff like what the plays theme was. We walked down about about three steps or so and there we saw are seats which of course felt good to sit down.

We waited a pretty long time for the pllay to come on until… all of the lights turned of, then they turned on and out came the cast of the play. One man looked very tall and had a blondish colored hair and then that's the last I saw.

New York part 9

The food had got to us and I ordered soft shell tacos. They weren't the best tacos I've ever had but don't get me wrong they were good. In them had been chicken and sort of melted cheese. This food felt awesome because I hadn't eaten anything all day and I was walking.

The salsa was amazing and very spicy, pretty much all of the food there met my needs. I was ready to go back to the hotel even though getting up off of the comfy couch would be pretty hard. So then my mom payed the check and we both walked out to the hotel.

Obviously we went up to our room and I snapped on my coat as we walked to the theater. We were seeing this play called Jersey Boys about the 1960s pop band: The Four Seasons.

The Screaming Staircase litterary essay

The Screaming Staircase Essay
                        By: Jonathan Stroud

I believe that the claim in the book The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud is that you should always be brave and help out, love, and worry about others. This is almost the same as saying you should care about other people and to not just care about yourself. This book is mostly based off of being brave because the Lockwood and Company is forced into many challenges that they are afraid of but they do them and that’s exactly what shows the importance of being brave because if you’re not brave then sometimes you won’t try new things. Things get tough, like how the main character (Lucy) has to meet new people and figure out important evidence and other stuff to do for her team.

During one part in the story Lucy and her boss Anthony Lockwood are faced to go up against a ghost in a house. One night when everything goes wrong they are forced into a room and the ghost keeps coming closer to them so they don’t have anything to do. The ghost breaks through their equipment and all of the sudden they start a fire and the entire house starts to burn on fire and the entire house catches on fire. Now things go wrong because they are hurt but even worse than that people like a strong Police company in London called DEPRAC are looking to sew them because they set their clients house on fire.

One day a man named Agent Barnes stopped by their house and all of the sudden he looked at a trophy case Anthony Lockwood owned. In it was this ghost and when he opened the case he spilled his coffee everywhere and noticed that they were keeping a ghost in a bottle. He got very angry but that wasn’t the worst part was he might shut down the Company. Now this company knew they had to do something so they investigated a case on a ghost girl who was killed. The goal of this investigation was to figure out who killed Annie Ward who was the girl that got killed by a man who was possibly a man named Hugo Blake. It ended up that the crew of George Cubbins, Lucy Carylye, and Anthony Lockwood understand that DEPRAC cannot find evidence that Hugo Blake actually killed Annie Ward so the whole case was busted so now the chances of their company getting their money back was one and a 1,000,000.

Next the team has yet another challenge on their hands. A man named John Fairfax has been asked to come to their house and he talks with them. He looks at all of them and he knows that they are not the smartest people in the world, neither are they the best investigators in the world but he gives them a big mission and this involves a trip to a house and every part of the house has a horrifying story so it’s supposed to be the most haunted house in all of Brittan. But there’s one part of the house that is the most haunted of all, it’s called The Screaming Staircase. In this situation they must be brave and they must take the next step up which is really hard for them. They get on the train and drive there. Once they get there they can tell that it’s going to be tough to take place in this house and walk out with the money.

This book is very cool and it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire team. The group of Anthony, George, and of course Lucy may not have always succeeded in life but they were brave and every time they had a hard job to do, they took it because there brave and they show the importance of that trait. It’s important to try new things because you never know what will really happen and you also should constantly take risks because life is sometimes about taking risks. This books shows that anytime you’re out doing something different think about the fact that you’re out doing something that many people probably won’t be able to do in their entire lifetime so it’s important to be open minded with all kinds of things. All of these come together and show you what to do.

New York part 8

Once we got back in the glass panel we walked down more stairs and waited in more lines. I swear my legs were about to shatter and break apart. It felt like it took us a year to get down from the building but once we did we walked back to the hotel.

From here on we both walked to a Mexican Restaurant in Times Square that was right by our hotel. It had a sign on it and we both walked in. There was a top floor where everyone could eat and overlook the bottom floor. My mom and I waited to be seated.

Then we sat down on a couch and ate salsa and chips. The salsa was spicy yet amazing and I couldn't stop eating it. I did look out the window gazing at all the sights and it did look pretty nice and cool. The food looked good even though it had not been served yet.

New York part 7

After we made a $106 dollar purchase! we had walked in to the Empire State Building. Around us looked like an average buisness building with a lobby and all that but I had been facing a elevator and I took that eleveator up to the top but it was the longest elevator I had ever gone on before.

A ton of people appeared there and they all were waiting in line but we got to cut because we bought these tickets. After that we walked up seven flights of stairs and finally when we got to the top and could see a balchony through a clear glass panel.

We walked through an open part in the glass panel and from that moment on I was on the top of the Empire State Building and there I could see everything from buildings to lights to cars everywhere and it was truly an awesome sight. I saw the Chrysler Building and many other buildings but this was truly awesome. Looking down at this huge drop was certainly scary but I got used to it.

New York part 6

Now that we stepped out of Dyans Cnady Bar we were off to the Empire State Building and my mom and I didn't want to walk so we just used a Taxi which I was so happy about because a I couldn't take another step.

In the Taxi I saw many other things that I hadn't seen before and it was pretty sweet and nice but I couldn't see too long because when the traffic wasn't bad I couldn't see for two long because the Taxi drives fast.

Once we got there we started to wait outside. I could tell that we would be waiting a long time to get up the tower.

New York part 5

My mom and I were once again walking down the streets of New York but this time we weren't going to any thing historic or cool, we were going to Dylans Candy Bar. My legs felt like they were going to stop and breakdown as we walked but then I saw the sign.

We strolled over there and found the building. Once we opened the door a ton of people were there. I picked up a bag and rotated all around the structure until I decided I had enough candy we walked down these stairs.

In the stairs there was candy everywhere and it was pretty cool. Know we were down in the basement and there was a lot more candy that I got like chocolate Malt balls and White Chocolate; it all tasted so good.
